After July 1, avoid fertilizing trees until they are dormant which may be around Thanksgiving.Fall is the best time to plant most trees and shrubs.Succulents in the genus Sempervivum are hardy to zone 6. Bring succulents indoors unless they are hardy to zone 6.Check for insect pests first, and treat with appropriate insecticide outside before bringing inside.
